I have a simple set - one of the ones with the 'blank' rune, and I use them a fair bit and with success. They are the Ralph Blume ones (they got me started! :D) but I have used these for years without the book though. Welcome, and thanks for joining. The Blum set is indeed a place to start, (a lot of people have been introduced to Runes that way); if nothing else, it gets you a set of rune staves to work with.
