this link is to a beautiful poem that was sent to me by a friend. It is by a woman called Clair Everett, personally I found it an inspiring piece while still carrying the same meanings of the original. Hope you like it. She has talent. I love the reference to hail as "a sleet of arrows". Actually, I assume it's a "she", as Clair can sometimes be a male name, I recently discovered! (I had a great Uncle by that very name) I'd really love to see them written in the Old (Anlgo Saxon) English language! ;-) It's something I've been looking into recently. |
