This is a community resource for anyone interested in the Runes, an "alphabet" used by the ancient Germanic and Nordic peoples, including the migratory north European tribes now collectively referred to as the Anglo-Saxons.

Note: This site has absolutely nothing to do with gaming. If you stumbled in here by accident looking for information regarding Runescape, or "Runes of Magic", etc., you've come to the wrong place.

It is my hope that this forum will attract any-and-every one from rune scholars to rune newbies, and Germanic/Norse history and culture enthusiasts, to allow for the sharing and dissemination of knowledge, insights, and ideas.
While this is primarily a Rune related resource pertaining to their use in divination, anything on Norse or Germanic culture or magical disciplines including the classic North myths, the Sagas and Eddas, Galdr, Seiðer, or even just historical or archaeological information, such as the Kensington Stone or records of travels to Vinland, is more than welcome here. Historically, little is written specifically on the Runes, so the best way to truly understand them is by placing them in proper context.
